Materials for reflections is a collection of Elitis by Callidus Guild that draws inspiration from the humility of traditional plaster, celebrating imperfect simplicity. This design pays homage to the beauty of ancient building techniques, transforming functionality and practicality into a stunning visual narrative. Each stroke recalls the mastery of traditional techniques, replicating and refining with precision the nuances inherent in plaster application, a testament to meticulous craftsmanship.

In this collection, the artwork becomes a visual record of movement: the artist’s gestures are captured by the playful cartographic composition of hundreds of tiny grooves in the plaster. “Combed Plaster” is further enriched by a unique abstract floral panorama, where 18th century floral motifs, originally found in the finest hand-woven silk, are enlarged and meticulously recreated by hand in multiple painterly iterations.
