A family business

Those sample books with worn covers on which my grandmother kept track of the inventory in pencil...

It was the 80s when I started visiting my grandparents in their wallpaper shop. I remember the smell of the paper samples and the weight of the pages.

There were some cards with embossed plastic foam that were all the rage at the time. I would flip through them and run my hand over them to feel the embossed pattern with my fingertips. Every now and then I would secretly scratch off a few pieces.

In those days wallpaper was not considered a luxury furnishing accessory even though, as today, there were more valuable products than others. I remember lots of flowers, some stripes and lots of damasks. The choice was not very wide and it was rarely bought with the help of the architect and you saw even fewer interior designers.

I grew up among wallpaper samples and fabric traces, but I had other plans..

I wanted to work in advertising and so after a degree in institutional communication in Rome, I left for London where I specialized and began my career.

10 years later I had accumulated wonderful experiences in one of the most fun creative sectors ever. I worked on important international brands, with characters from the cinema and sports world,  I have traveled and managed TV and print campaigns with big production houses in beautiful countries.

Although my choices have led me to travel, I have never distanced myself from the world of interior design. In the meantime, that special shop that smelled of paper and paint has become a beautiful showroom with the fruit of my parents' work. Those sample books with worn covers on which my grandmother kept track of the inventory in pencil have become important books with valuable collections of papers and wall coverings. And so the interest in the novelties of the sector, in the new signatures and new designs has never faded.

When I embarked on the Deco Interni journey, I promised myself to choose the products we offer on the site one by one.
My choice is based on the quality of the product and the emotion it arouses in me.

With the birth of my children, the desire to create something that would gather all my passions and experiences joined the desire to return to my roots. The desire to continue a family journey for them and for me turned into a project: Deco Interni.

The greatest motivation remains wanting to make my children as proud of me as I am of my parents and my family.

I believe that fabrics and wallpapers should evoke an emotion. And it is that emotion that should dictate the choice.

When I started the Deco Interni journey, I promised myself to choose one by one the products we offer on the site. My choice is based on the quality of the product and the emotion it arouses in me.

Thanks to my family history, interior design for me is 'home' in the most romantic sense of the word. And with Deco Interni I want to guide you in the creation of your home, with the hope that it can arouse infinite emotions in you.
