The inspiration for this print is the 'Sun of Capri', a design created by Piero Fornasetti in the 1950s. Piero Fornasetti had long had a passion for Capri and created this iconic design from his imagination, even before visiting the legendary island. Piero eventually took his family on holiday there and, during the 1960s, also opened a temporary Fornasetti boutique on the island. The original print is a combination of personified suns and stylized architecture, both typical of Fornasetti's style. The idea of ​​pairing personified suns and clouds first appears in a sketch for a scarf that Piero designed in 1950. Now it has become a playful print on everything, bringing a unique and whimsical touch to an interior setting.
