Fornasetti for Cole&Son Wallpaper. The inspiration for this print is the 'Capri Sun', a design created by Piero Fornasetti in the 1950s. Piero Fornasetti had long had a passion for Capri and created this iconic design from his imagination, before he ever visited the legendary island. Piero eventually took his family on holiday there and, during the 1960s, he also opened a pop-up Fornasetti boutique on the island. The original print is a combination of personified suns and stylised architecture, both typical of Fornasetti's style. The idea of ​​pairing personified suns and clouds first appeared in a sketch for a scarf that Piero designed in 1950. It has now become a playful all-over print, bringing a unique and whimsical touch to an interior setting.
